ACTUAL ONTARIO LAW: Speed Camera Ban (Passed Nov 14, 2025)
Status: PASSED – Cameras must be removed by November 14, 2025

What Ford’s government did:

  • BANNED all automated speed cameras across Ontario (they were in school zones)
  • Called them a “cash grab” – Toronto made $45M from fines in 2025
  • Providing $210M for alternative traffic calming (speed bumps, flashing signs, roundabouts)
  • Cameras reduced speeding by 45 % in school zones (SickKids study)
  • Mayors, police chiefs, and parents are protesting the ban

The Question: Should Ford have banned the cameras, or should they stay?
